Guy Ritchie Expresses Fear for their Children

No divorce ends beautifully. Some graciously, perhaps, but beautiful, it just doesn’t happen. This is true even when beautiful people are involved. When it comes to celebrities, we watch their lives in front of us on television and maybe, just maybe, sometimes we see a few too many stars and forget that they’re people too, just like us.

Some of the most beautiful people in the world make what we affectionately refer to as power couples. Their dashing good looks individually and together make us just certain that they should start a family and live happily ever after. But it doesn’t always work out that way. And as a result, some of the most famous couples suffer through bitter public divorces which also involve custody battles with their children.

Moviemaker Guy Ritchie may find himself in a situation not so sticky and sweet, as Madonna’s current tour name advertises, since the material girl has come home to America with the former couple’s children. Although 12-year old Lourdes is from a previous relationship, the union produced a son, who is also with Madonna while she is on tour. Lourdes is reported going to remain with Madonna stateside.

Although Ritchie has only made comment to his father about his concerns, sources have leaked information back to the press that Ritchie fears Madonna may not honor the custody agreement established by the courts. Because two different countries are involved, yet another high profile bitter battle for custody could be in the works for Ritchie if Madonna choose to keep both children in the U.S.

Ritchie and Madonna were rumored to be divorcing months ago, at which time the Ritchie duo denied the claims, even going so far as to say that everything was fine and there was no talk of divorce going on. True to a Hollywood minute, however, the couple has since divorced with Ritchie staying put to direct his latest British work on the movie Sherlock Holmes and Madonna hitting the states to go on tour.

Ritchie’s father John suspects the material girl may not keep her part of the agreement and for now the children are on tour with their mother. Let’s just hope that Ritchie’s visitation rights don’t disappear faster than the visuals in Madonna’s “Ray Of Light”.
