State of Nevada to Take on Carson City Child Support Cases

On December 10, 2007  the Nevada Division of Welfare and Supportive Services shall commence operating the city’s child support enforcement program services which were before ran through the Carson City District Attorney’s office.

The new child support services provided for Carson City residents are being moved to the Welfare Division's Reno Program area office located at 300 E. Second S., Suite 1200.

According to the news release, all those previously being offered child support services in Carson City will endure no break in the services offered following or while the transition situation occurs. As of press, almost 2,100 child support cases were being handled through the Carson City District Attorney Office.

Carson City residents seeking child support enforcement services can obtain program applications from the Carson City District Attorney Office. Completed applications may be dropped off at the Carson City welfare office.  Processing of applications as well as current child support cases for residents of Carson City will also be handled at the Reno office.
