Britney Spears Ordered to Relinquish Physical Custody of Children

Earlier this week, it became apparent Britney Spears will be losing far more than just her pop star career credibility or personal sanity as Superior Court Judge Scott M. Gordon shaved away another piece of the pop princess’ past life besides her hair. The judge ordered Spears to relinquish the physical custody of her two children, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, to the care of ex-husband Kevin Federline “until further order of the court.” Even with the utmost legal help available, Spears seemingly could not pull herself together enough to prove to the judge she would be a suitable parent.

The mandate comes following a swirl of tabloid fueled frenzy over the fallen pop star’s bizarre and reckless behaviors.  The custody battle between Spears and Federline seemed to be progressing towards Spears’ favor in some regards earlier last month, however, her complete disregard toward the judge’s orders were an obvious indicator of the outcome of this custody battle.

The unfortunate series of events seemed to have little affect on Spears as celebrity gossip sites reported her pursuing her partying passions even amidst this devastating loss. Perhaps the gravity of these consequences may not register in Spears’ mind for some time, but in the mean time, her children are now under the arguably safe care and guidance of her ex-husband Kevin Federline indefinitely.
